Lions Club Of Callington

RECRUITMENT
	What do we do ? We spend a lot of our time serving local issues. This includes offering help to organisations and individuals such as play groups, youth organisations, senior citizens, the disabled - in fact anyone with a need. We also spend time raising funds for not only local issues but national and international needs for example the Tsunami appeal. We also run a hospital visiting service for those without any other means of travel. How do we raise funds ? From annual events such as Honey Fair, Gala Day, sponsored walks, or other occasional big events: concerts and pantomimes. We also loan-out duck race equipment, bingo, barbecues and a host of other items. We provide a bar, we run stalls at other organisations' events both in and around Callington. And we are always open to new ideas! However...It's not all work and no play! Apart from the fun and friendship found from participating in all the worthwhile events we attend, we also have our own social life, which includes seasonal draws, quizzes, skittles, challenges with other clubs, excursions, foreign trips, social evenings and dinner dances. There are also opportunities to to serve as a Lions Officer at local, district, national & international level. Want to know more?
